Is it REALLY Tuesday already? I flippin love Tuesdays.

Tuesday = The Biggest Loser, The Good Wife, Parenthood, American Idol, 90210 and Melrose Place. Yeah, I’m a tween. So what. It also means it’s not Monday and believe it or not, homemakers do get a case of the Mondays from time to time. This particular Tuesday could be less annoying, all out of baby wipes, nutrigrain bars, paper towels and….wait for it…COFFEE. For the love of Pete. Argh. And I don’t know about you..but..I sort of hate the grocery store. And I don’t throw the word hate around very often. Hate is a very strong word. And, yeah, I’m pretty sure I hate the grocery store. Want to know what I hate even more? Wal-Mart! But only since moving to California. Where is my SUPER wally world and why are there so many people crammed into their lame little stores here?! So frustrating. So I have become a Target tolerater..which I NEVER thought would be the case. Some years ago I would have told you that Target was the equivalent to Pepsi *shudder*. And no, mister waiter, sir, If I ask for a COKE …please…do not bring me a Pepsi.

…as to not ruin my reputation. Ahem.

Some weeks back I was having a conversation with my dear friend, my fellow blogger, my homance. Get it? Bromance..but for chicks. Homance. We like it. It’s ours. Anyway. She’s a kind soul and we were discussing her love for random acts of kindness and the convo stuck with me… and made me want to share one with you folks.

My husband works for a company that provides service to our amazing soldiers, veterans, and their families. He recently took a much needed week off from work and on day #2 he let out a startling, oh shit, or fuck, or something along those lines. This actually really drives me nuts because it makes me think he just lost a toe or something very drastic happened. That is never the case. I readily forgave him this time when he told me what prompted this particular outburst. He forgot to place a very special order for a hero.

A little old man, oxygen in tow, asked my husband to please order several dozen CASES of Gold Bond powder to send to the boys in Iraq and Afghanistan. And he let my hubby know that he didn’t want the cheap stuff. How effing thoughtful is that.
